Creating a Timenotes account requires an absolute minimum of data (no credit card required), sign up using your email or Gmail account, type your name, create a password and name your workspace (eg. by your company's name). Then type the email addresses of your employees in order to invite them to Timenotes. After confirming email invitations, employees will be able to access Timenotes and log time.
Importing data (projects, tasks, time entries) into Timenotes is possible via adding a CSV file or integrating Timenotes with other apps (Trello, Asana, Basecamp, Todoist, Github). Both ways are quick and easy however in case of any problems you can just follow step-by-step guides.
Remember that Timenotes integrations enable you much more than importing data. Full sync allows you to log time directly in the integrated app (Timenotes time tracker buttons are added to the app’s interface), manage time logs, team and projects profitability.
There are a few ways to add time logs in Timenotes:
Adding time logs directly in Timenotes website- go to ‘Timer’ section on the sidebar and click on ‘Log time’. Choose a project and task to which time log should be assign. If you want to start tracking in real-time, leave date and duration untouched and click on ‘Start tracking’. If you want to add a previous time log, fill in all information.
Adding time logs via Google Chrome extension- instal Google Chrome extension to add time logs without entering Timenotes website. Access the extension and fill in the short form to start a real-time tracker or add a previous time log.
Adding time logs via integrated apps- Timenotes adds time tracking buttons to Trello and Basecamp interfaces so you can track time without switching tabs
In order to generate payrolls, access the ‘Reports’ section on the sidebar and choose the purpose of the report.
Filter all time logs through a team member and specific time-range in order to create monthly payroll. Filter through a client, specific project or task to generate a report for your client. Timenotes reports are fully customizable so you can generate any type of report, filter through clients, projects, tasks, descriptions and tags.
Normally Timenotes has no special offer for teams up to 20 users. It means that the teams need to pay for the unlimited plan ($690). With the discounted plan, monthly fee per user totals $1 and even less as the number of users increases above 15.
