There are several ways to do this. The most common one is to simply add a time log by accessing the "Timer" section on the sidebar and clicking "Add time log". A user must specify the project and task they're working on, as well as the date and time of their work. If you've made a mistake, you can edit or delete past time entry.
The duration of work can also be tracked in real time, as the task is being done. To do this, follow the same steps as before, only this time leave the date and time untouched. This will enable online time tracking. Pause and resume your work on your browser, via the app or Chrome extension.
For new teams, a popular way to fill up web timesheets with a large amount of data in a short time is to import a CSV file containing your time logs. Check out how to do this by accessing this guide.
Another way to populate your online timesheet is to integrate Timenotes with other workplace apps, such as Asana, Trello, Todoist, Basecamp and Github. You will be able to sync projects from the app to Timenotes, and in the case of ..., track time using a Timenotes plugin, thus populating your web based timesheet.
If you are an admin in your workplace, you will be able to access all user time logs. See how much time has been logged by each member, for each project. Use filters to gain the additional information you need about your team's performance.
By default, regular members can only see their own work times. Of course, as an admin you can change this and give them partial or full access to work time logs. Customise permissions even further by deciding who can create projects and whether they are public or not. Disable adding time entries by locking timesheets. Timenotes also gives you the option of rounding up work times (up or down, to the nearest 5, 10 or 15 minutes). Change the default number of workdays per week, the day with which the workweek starts and/or the standard number of workday hours so that the web timesheet suits you better visually.
Don't forget that you can export your online timesheet in CSV or XLS for any given month, project, user or client. You can also export a time logs report in CSV, XLS or PDF. Set up billable rates for members to smooth the payroll process within your company or use the exported file to bill your clients. Use projects, tasks and descriptions to justify your work.
